Kristine (Krissy) Johnson started her professional life in the Arts, having earned both a Bachelor and Master degree in Music, specializing in vocal performance. After many years in that field, Krissy returned to academia and received her Master in Marriage and Family Therapy from La Salle University in Philadelphia.
In providing patient care, Krissy is passionate about treating the whole individual, taking a systemic approach to therapy, recognizing that we are influenced by our families, relationships, community, and society. She believes in helping individuals find their voice and tell their story, and in so doing, discover meaning and find healing. She uses a variety of therapeutic approaches, depending on the goals and styles of the individual, couple, or family. These include, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Extended Family
Krissy moved to Arizona in 2018 with her husband, and in her free time she enjoys hiking, singing, playing the piano, and video editing. Krissy is still an active member in the arts community, performing regularly.
