New TMS and Spravato offerings provide additional care pathways for patients who have not found relief through traditional medications
Denova Collaborative Health, Arizona’s largest outpatient behavioral health provider, is expanding its behavioral healthcare services with the launch of new interventional psychiatry offerings at its Bella Vista clinic in central Phoenix.
Beginning this summer, Denova will offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato® (esketamine) treatment for patients with treatment-resistant depression and other complex mental health conditions.
Interventional psychiatry uses advanced, evidence-based treatments to help patients whose symptoms have not improved through traditional therapies or medications alone. Denova leaders say the expansion reflects growing demand for additional mental healthcare options in Arizona, particularly for patients with more severe or persistent symptoms.
“At Denova, we see many patients who have tried multiple medications and still struggle to find meaningful relief,” said Graham B. Johnson, Denova Collaborative Health CEO. “By bringing interventional psychiatry services in-house, we can offer more comprehensive care and connect patients with additional treatment options that may significantly improve their quality of life.”
TMS is a non-invasive treatment that uses targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain associated with mood regulation. It is most commonly used for major depressive disorder and is performed in-office while patients remain awake and alert. Clinical studies show promising outcomes for TMS treatment, including strong long-term retention and minimal side effects for many patients.
Spravato, an FDA-approved esketamine nasal spray, offers another option for adults with treatment-resistant depression. Unlike traditional antidepressants, Spravato targets glutamate pathways in the brain and may provide relief more quickly for some patients.
“Too often, patients with treatment-resistant depression begin to feel like they have run out of options,” said Jessica Patriquin, PMHNP-BC, BC-TMH, Vice President of Psychiatric
Services at Denova Collaborative Health. “TMS and Spravato provide additional evidence-based pathways for people who continue to struggle despite trying traditional treatments. Offering these services within an integrated care setting allows us to closely monitor progress, coordinate care across specialties and help patients find the approach that works best for them.”
Both services will be offered as part of Denova’s broader integrated care model, which combines psychiatry, therapy and primary care services. Providers will work closely with patients to determine the most appropriate treatment approach based on symptoms, medical history and risk factors.
“These services represent an important next step in expanding access to innovative mental healthcare in Arizona,” Johnson added. “Patients are increasingly aware of treatments like TMS and Spravato and are actively seeking providers who can offer them safely within an integrated care environment.”
TMS and Spravato services are expected to begin in summer 2026. Denova is currently building a waitlist for interested patients.
