PHOENIX [July 14, 2026] – Denova Collaborative Health, Arizona’s largest outpatient behavioral health provider, has expanded its integrated care model with the launch of a registered dietitian program, giving primary care patients across the state access to nutrition counseling through telehealth and select clinic locations. The program is currently led by registered dietitian Alysia Jimenez, MPH, RD, who works with patients on diabetes management, weight management, GLP-1 support and pediatric feeding, with additional dietitians planned as patient demand grows.

Denova’s registered dietitian program is built into its existing primary care workflow. Patients are referred directly by their Denova primary care provider and receive a same-day, in-person or virtual introduction to the dietitian team. From there, an initial intake assesses eating habits, each patient’s relationship with food, and food access, followed by regular follow-up appointments that use SMART goals to guide lifestyle changes over time.

“Nutrition is the foundation of health, not just a tool for managing a diagnosis,” said Jimenez. “Building this program into primary care means patients get that holistic support the same day their provider identifies the need, instead of waiting weeks for an outside referral.”

The program is delivered primarily through telehealth, allowing Denova to serve patients across Arizona regardless of location. Jimenez is also available in-person at the Peoria clinic, with her credentialing underway at Denova’s Central Phoenix and South Mountain locations. A care coordination team supports her as the sole registered dietitian on staff, with plans to add dietitians as patient volume increases.

“Nutrition is a piece of care that touches nearly every condition we treat, from diabetes to behavioral health,” said Graham Johnson, Denova Collaborative Health CEO. “Bringing a registered dietitian into our primary care model lets us address that need directly, without asking patients to navigate another referral on their own.”

The program focuses on:

  • Weight management
  • GLP-1 support
  • Diabetes and continuous glucose monitor (CGM) care pathways
  • Social determinants of health, including food access
  • Pediatric feeding, including picky eaters

Denova’s registered dietitian program is available now to patients referred by a Denova primary care provider. For more information, visit denova.com or call (602) 230-7373.
