Susan attended Oakland University in Auburn Hills, Michigan and majored in sociology. She volunteered at a domestic violence shelter in 1994, and began learning about the myriad factors that contribute to such situations.
After moving to Phoenix in pursuit of fairer weather in 1998, Susan came into a similar opportunity working in youth care at an at-risk shelter. This led to completion of the Master of Social Work program at ASU in 2008, and Susan has been working with adults to achieve better functioning and resiliency ever since.
Susan is passionate about the potential of every individual and believes that each individual has unique talents, goals, and dreams, and the ability to achieve them.
