Prior to joining denova in January 2015, Sarah completed her Master of Advanced Study in Marriage and Family Therapy at Arizona State University in Tempe. She has experience in both community mental health and private practice settings working with couples, families, and individuals. She has also developed a particular interest in Infant Mental Health and has completed the Infant/Family Clinical Practice training program through the Harris Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Training Institute at Southwest Human Development.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, she takes a systemic approach to creating lasting change. She uses a variety of clinical perspectives, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Couple’s Therapy, Gottman Couple’s Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Structural Family Therapy, and she is PREPARE/ENRICH Certified. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling, reading, cross-stitch, and spending time with friends and family.
