Fernanda Barragan Garcia, LMSW

Fernanda Barragan Garcia is an Arizona State University Graduate. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and went on to receive her Master’s in Social Work with a focus on Children Youth and Family in 2020. In early 2021 she went on to get her license. She has experience working with a wide range of needs. Her main focus has always been working with adolescents and their loved ones. She has a background working in crisis intervention, school social work with students grades K-12, as well as substance misuse. Two main things have influenced the path of her career, from the age of 16 she spent several years volunteering at a teen crisis hotline taking calls. The passion she found there helping youth is now the catalyst that fuels her drive in the work she does. Being an immigrant has also always been a huge factor in her life. The culture which where she comes from has instilled the value of hard work and dedication. Seeing the beauty and richness of her culture inspired a love for learning and exploring culture as a whole. She loves exploring cultural events and learning about the people of the world.
