Cerise obtained concurrent bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology and received her Master of Advanced Study in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2018 at Arizona State University. She currently holds her associate license in marriage and family therapy and is pursuing her independent license.
Before coming to denova/Aurelia, Cerise worked in Birth-Five and Family Preservation programs where she met clients from many walks of life and in many different settings (office, home, community, virtual). Cerise uses Cognitive Behavioral, Emotion-Focused, Solution-Focused, and other therapy modalities depending on clients’ needs while maintaining a trauma-informed and systemic theoretical framework. Cerise is proud to be a part of denova’s integrated healthcare model and is passionate about meeting clients where they’re at, creating empathetic and therapeutic connections, and forming partnerships where clients and Cerise solve problems as a team.
While not an Arizona native, Cerise appreciates the Phoenix climate, scenery, and rich cultures that the Valley has to offer. In her spare time, Cerise enjoys knitting, painting, yoga, outdoor activities, cuddling with her cat, and spending time with her loved ones.
