Chief Clinical Officer

Dr. George Orras joined the Denova team in 2020. Dr. Orras is the Chief Clinical Officer, working with Denova leadership to reimagine the Arizona behavioral health market, developing new strategies to help those suffering with mental health issues. Together he helps to create the best in strategy, innovation, company brand, and patient thinking, for the Arizona patient population.

Dr. Orras joined the University of Southern California as an adjunct faculty member in 2002 and currently continues in that role. As an instructor, he has taught both MSW and DSW students.

From 2002 to 2020, as a cofounder, Dr. Orras served in various roles within Windstone Health Services/Windstone Behavioral Health. From 2014 to 2020, he served as its President and CEO. During his time with Windstone, he and his team, using a capitated reimbursement model, managed the behavioral health care to more than 320,000 geriatric Medicare Advantage members throughout Southern California. His responsibilities included an oversight of all departments, innovative program development, strategic business expansion efforts, clinical and contract management.

Before 2002, Dr. Orras held the position of National Vice President of Clinical Operations for Value Behavioral Health’s public sector division. From 1992 through 1997, he cofounded and served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Newport PsychCare/Pacific Behavioral Management.

Prior to 1992, Dr. Orras held multiple executive, administrative and clinical positions that allowed him to grow as a clinician, innovator, clinical strategist, and executive leader.
