Tutorial 6 / Part 14

With the Menu Item dialog box still opened,

  1. In the Java command checkbox add a check mark.
When you check these boxes JExpress automatically adds the name of the JVM to launch during the installation to the Executable command you specify in the next field.
  2. In the Show Java console checkbox do not add a check mark.
When you check this box JExpress configures your app to open the console on Windows. You generally only want the console open when you're debugging your app or if your app is a console based app.
  3. In the Main classname enter: Hello
You do not want to specify the .class as part of the class file. nor do you want to specify the JVM or classpath switch. If your app is in a package, then you'd want to include the full package name for the class with Main.
  4. If you're using the Advanced interface, leave the Command line arguments field blank.
  5. Click on the Browse button next to the Icon filename field and select the hello.ico file in the HelloWorld subdirectory of your installation directory of JExpress.
If you don't want a special icon to appear in the Windows menu, then leave this field blank.
  6. Click the OK button when all the settings are the way you want them.

When you're finished, then click Next.
