Creating Diagnostic Log Files

If you'd like JExpress to accumulate information in one of the logs, then create a file with the name, being careful to use the correct case for all letters in the filename. There are two ways to create a diagnostic log file:

1. Copy the named file to the specified directory.

2. or

3. Start a plain text editor, add a carriage return or line feed, and save a file in the specified directory.

You'll want to remove the diagnostic log files as soon as you got the information you needed because JExpress continues to add data as long as the log files exist.

These logs can also be invaluable if you're experiencing difficulties with an installation or the operation of JExpress. If you're unable to resolve a challenge and you're installing JExpress then send the portion of the log(s) with data to . Please don't send a log that you've been accumulating for a long time to our support team. It wastes band-width and it takes longer for an engineer to find where the challenge occurred.

If your customer is experiencing difficulty with the installation of your system, then you should request they create the various logs and send them to you.

Named File

Click on the filename and then click the right mouse button, select the "Save Link As" option, and save the file into the specified directory.
