Blank or blurry screen

Issue After starting the installer, the screen appears blank or blurry.
Comments According to Sun, computers that provide Direct3D screen enhancements can leave the screen blank or blurry with Swing applications.

If your app requires Java 1.5, then you can simply change the platform.properties files with a plain text editor to make sure native installers start properly.

Be sure that JExpress is *not* running when you modify the platform.properties files. The platform files are in the platforms subdirectory of your JExpress installation directory.

For example, for the native Windows installer, you'll change platforms/Windows/platform.properties to include this line:

jvmExtraParameters=-Dsun.java2d.d3d=false

If you also want your apps to start with the same switch, then start JExpress and add the switch to the JVM panel's "extra parameters" field.
