Testing with JDK

Issue I want to test my JExpress' install program with the JDK, but JExpress expects the JRE.
Comments JExpress defaults to starting the JRE because you can't distribute the JDK to your customers while the JRE is freely distributable.

The more recent versions of the JDK come with the JRE, but the Windows installation program that installed the JDK usually didn't added the required registry entries for the JRE. If you're running Windows and you know you have the JRE on your system, then add the registry entries for the JRE: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.1\JavaHome
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.1\MicroVersion

Or, you can simply change the Windows shortcut or UNIX startup scripts to use the JDK to run JExpress.
