The most likely cause is that you have an incompatible version of
Swing referenced in the start up command for JExpress. Try
downloading the current version of Swing from our web site www.denova.com/JExpress/PureJava/swing.html.
Either save the correct version of swingall.jar in the same location as the other version that you already have installed, or save it some place new and change the start up command to reference the new swingall.jar. If this doesn't solve the challenge, then if you're running
under Windows, change the startup command for JExpress so it uses
jre.exe instead of jrew.exe. After you restart JExpress and click
on the Add button, look at the JRE's window and
see if there are any errors. If you find any, please send the
